Growing Up Here & Yonder

Greetings and salutations. You know, I’m not really sure what this book is. I think it is suppose to be like a devotional. I know it is not a biography since, as the title states, some of it may not be exactly true. I mean it is to my way of seeing things, but history is different in every ones own mind. I’m one of those people who thinks things are funny at the time as well as in hindsight. But we all learn from everyday things.

I know if you try to read this book straight through it will lose some of it’s feeling. Try reading it day at a time, just picking at it. After reading a chapter, try finding your own memory of the stories you have that give meaning to the things you’ve learned. Remember a basis for the knowledge you know. Check off the points at the end of each story and trace back your own minds history of how you found truth in this crazy world. See the people again, smell the smells, feel the fear and maybe even touch the pain once more. Read this one feeling at a time and just enjoy the simple facts of life we all live, day to day.

Don’t put yourself in my shoes. They will be getting wet, sweaty, or severely punctured. Instead, be the invisible friend there with me, laughing at my ignorance and tears and fears. Just let life go for a few minutes and trust me, it’ll be there when you put the book down. You know why?

Life can suck, but GOD’s always good.

Peradventure

Maybe it never happened, perhaps it was just a dream

perchance it was reality and now vanished, or so it seems

feasibly it may just have been wishful thinking, imaginably so

possibly it was a total delusion, a delicious fantasy, for all one knows

reasonably I want it to be as real as it felt, I love you still you’ll see

peradventure, if not untrue romance, if as real as it may be

Do you now, did you ever, will you ever really love me

The Fallen

I cannot help but feel put aside

Not only outside in its appearance

But feel the sting of void so deep inside

I assure it’s not only my lowly pride

But I know the slide of importance

Since the end began at the top of this ride

I’m lost and only as good as I can deride

And as tides of oceans never fail to dance

I know I can only be whole with you by my side

Every

Every day I pray for your safety
Every night I pray for your peace
Every minute you’re thought of repeatedly
Every morning hoping work is an ease
Every time you miss my closeness
Be reminded my love for you will not cease

A Faithful Replanting
